The procedure for pets is exactly the same as for humans: We recommend to perform 5 minutes sessions, once or twice per day. The timer integrated will switch off the light automatically after 5 minutes. Please make sure that the light manages to reach the skin of your pet, if the hairs block the light the effects will be less efficient. If needed you can put the glass directly in contact with the skin, the glass will be warm but not hot. If your pet has black fur, then you really need to let the light touch the skin by parting the fur.
Red Light Therapy is not an intrusive treatment, and there is no real risk to use it even on smaller pets. If you are worried, you can ask your vet that this treatment can fit your dog (Red + Infrared frequencies). We have clients who use their devices to their dogs, cats, horses and even parrots.
